Captivating photo. I had to come back to comment on the information accompanying the photo. Well done.

Absolutely beautiful! The diffuse highlights retail detail. The shallow depth of field draws attention just where you want it.

Description
A male snowy owl looks directly into my lens as I snap a few shots as dusk starts to fall. The snowy was accompanied by a female in the area but she was off hunting for her dinner on the edge of a farmer's field. Snowy owls are known for their white feathers and striking yellow eyes. Male snowy owls are nearly all white and smaller, while females are larger and tend to have more black feathers woven in between their white feathers. I nearly didn't spot him as he camouflaged seamlessly with the fresh snowfall. No baiting was, or has ever been, used in any of my owl photography. Photo taken December 2024 in Ottawa. Several snowy owl couples migrate to Ottawa during our winters, staying for a few months hunting for mice and voles. Once the weather starts warming up, the snowy owls will leave again for their home up north. @danidmedia
